Questions, answered. Can't find yours? Write to us.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs on your Mac, including the AI upscaler. Squeeze goes online only to activate your licence and to look for updates, which you can turn off in Settings. Your files never leave your Mac.

Which Macs does it run on?

Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14 or later.

What can it convert?

Images (JPEG, PNG, HEIC, AVIF, TIFF), PDFs, video (MP4, MOV, MKV, GIF) and audio (MP3, M4A, WAV). It can also merge and split PDFs, and upscale images.

Can I try it first?

Yes. The 14-day trial has every feature and doesn't ask for a card.

What happens after the trial?

Squeeze stops converting until you add a licence key. Your files are never held hostage.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once and keep it. Updates for this version of Squeeze are free.

Which updates are free?

Squeeze versions are numbered like 1.0, 1.1, 1.2. Every update that starts with 1 is free: fixes, new features and support for new versions of macOS. If we ever release a big new version, Squeeze 2, it will be a separate upgrade, with a discount for people who already own Squeeze. You never have to buy it. Your copy keeps working.

How many Macs can I use it on?

Two of your own Macs with one licence.

Can Claude use it?

Yes. Squeeze includes a tool server, so you can ask Claude Desktop or Claude Code to convert, compress or merge files for you.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After one online activation, Squeeze works with no connection at all.

Why does macOS warn me when I open it?

Squeeze isn't signed with an Apple Developer ID yet. Open the download and drag Squeeze into Applications. The first time you open it, macOS says it can't verify the app: open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to Squeeze. (On macOS 14 you can right-click the app and choose Open instead.) You only do this once, and updates after that install without the warning.

Smaller files. Nothing leaves your Mac.

Try Squeeze free for 14 days. Drag a file, shake it, done.
