Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
This policy covers the Squeeze website (squeezeformac.com) and the Squeeze app for macOS, both run by Miinona Design Studio, operated by Faisal Abdullateef Yusuf.
The short version
Squeeze is built so your files never leave your Mac. Converting, compressing, merging and upscaling all happen on your computer, and there are no accounts. The app talks to the internet only to activate your licence and to look for updates. Activating sends your licence key and your Mac's name. Looking for updates just asks squeezeformac.com for a small list of versions, and you can turn it off in Settings. If you buy, Polar takes the payment and tells us who bought, so we can support you.
What we collect, and why
When you use the app
Your files, and the results Squeeze makes from them, stay on your Mac. Squeeze does not upload them, does not send usage statistics, and has no analytics. Conversions never use the network.
When you try it
The 14-day free trial needs no email address, account or card. The app keeps the trial's start date on your Mac only (in the Keychain and in a private file). Nothing about your trial is sent to us.
When you buy
Payment goes through Polar, the seller of record for Squeeze. Polar takes your card details, and we never see them. Polar tells us your email address, your name if you gave one, your country, the amount and currency, and an order number. We use that to send you your licence, help you if something goes wrong, and handle refunds. Polar's own privacy policy applies to what Polar collects.
When you activate your licence
To activate, Squeeze sends your licence key and the name of your Mac (for example "Sam's MacBook Pro") to Polar's licence service. That lets it count your two Macs and show you which ones are active. Squeeze does not send your files, how you use it, or your location. After activation the app works offline. It may check once, after an update, that your licence is still valid. If you are offline at that moment, it simply keeps working.
When Squeeze looks for updates
Now and then (you can turn this off in Settings, under General) Squeeze asks squeezeformac.com for a small file that lists the newest version. This is an ordinary web request, so our host, Cloudflare, sees your IP address, and the request carries the app's name and version and the usual browser-style details. Nothing about you, your licence or your files is sent. If a newer version exists and you choose to install it, Squeeze downloads it from our own download address, and only installs it if it carries our digital signature.
If you connect Squeeze to Claude
Squeeze includes an optional tool that lets Claude Desktop or Claude Code convert files for you. It runs on your Mac. When you use it, Claude can ask Squeeze to work on files you point it at, and what Squeeze reports back (such as file names, sizes and where the result was saved) goes to Claude, under Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy. Squeeze itself sends nothing to Anthropic. If you never connect it, none of this applies.
When you visit this website
There are no accounts, no cookies, and no analytics or advertising trackers. Your browser remembers your light or dark choice in its own storage on your device, and we never receive it.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and keep it secure. The site's fonts are served from our own hosting, not from Google. When you scroll near the pricing section it loads Polar's checkout script from jsDelivr, and opening the checkout shows Polar's page inside ours. Like any website you visit, these services can see your IP address and browser details.
Who else handles data
- Polar: payments, tax, refunds and licence keys.
- Cloudflare: hosting and security for this website, and the hosting for app updates and downloads.
- jsDelivr: delivers Polar's checkout script.
- Anthropic: only if you choose to connect Squeeze to Claude.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Licence and activation records: for as long as the licence is valid.
- Everything on your Mac: until you delete it. We do not have it.
Your rights
If you live in the UK, the EU, or somewhere with similar law, you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@squeezeformac.com. We may need to keep purchase records for as long as tax law requires. Polar holds some purchase data itself, so for that you can also contact Polar.
Children
Squeeze is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects what Squeeze collects, we will say so clearly here and in the app.
